About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his coffee, a regular noticed something odd on the bank’s security camera feed. ‘Why does that Chase teller keep waving at empty space?’ he asked aloud. As it turned out, she was just greeting her invisible friend, Mr. Dollar Sign. The regulars soon joined in, waving back at thin air and having a grand time. It became such a routine that when a new delivery driver arrived, everyone waited with bated breath—would he wave too? And sure enough, he did, causing a momentary panic until they realized he was simply saying hello to the friendly ghost of banking.
2. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to Chase Bank and announced loudly into the microphone: 'Attention, everyone—we’ve just run out of cash!' Everyone inside froze for a second, but then someone whispered, ‘That’s okay, they always restock in the afternoon.’ The delivery guy shrugged and added, ‘Well, I guess we’ll know soon enough!’ And with that, he drove off.
3. One afternoon, a neighbor stopped by Chase Bank and asked curiously, ‘Do you guys really keep all that money in those big safes?’ The teller smiled and replied, 'Oh yes, sir, every penny!' Just then, a delivery driver walked in with an armload of cash boxes. The neighbor turned pale and whispered, 'I thought you were kidding...'
4. While standing in line at Chase Bank one afternoon, a customer exclaimed, 'I just saw someone depositing a check made out to "Uncle Sam"!' Another customer, clearly amused, asked if Uncle Sam had overdrawn his account again. A teller smiled and replied, ‘Not today, sir—looks like he’s cashing in on some tax refund!’ The whole line burst into laughter as the story ended with everyone thinking, maybe there really is such a thing as free money.
