About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little boy walked into Super Dave Tire Shop and asked for a tire pump. The mechanic looked puzzled as he handed it over—nothing seemed amiss until the kid started pumping up his balloon dog outside. Soon enough, customers started gathering around, curious about the talking balloon dog that kept waving hello. Before long, Super Dave himself came out, scratching his head and smiling. ‘Guess I’ll just keep an eye on him,’ he said with a laugh, ‘he’s been here longer than some of our regulars!’
2. In the early afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to Super Dave Tire Shop with a box of tires. As he unloaded them, he noticed something odd—a small, dusty teddy bear sitting on top of one tire. The delivery driver picked it up curiously and asked Super Dave if anyone had come in for a teddy bear recently. With a smile, Super Dave replied that no one mentioned anything like that. Later that evening, as they were closing up, an elderly neighbor dropped by to say goodbye. Turned out she’d left her favorite childhood toy there years ago when she got new tires.
3. In the early morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Super Dave Tire Shop with a frown on his face. He got out of his truck, only to notice that someone had drawn a perfect tire track across the entire windshield. The delivery driver scratched his head and said, ‘I don’t get it—my truck’s tires are brand new!’ A regular passing by laughed and pointed towards the shop door, where a sign read: “Tires Installed. Tracks Removed.” The driver shook his head, smiled, and walked in, muttering, “Super Dave must be super good at what he does!”
4. At dawn, when most tire shops are quiet, an old dog began showing up outside Super Dave Tire Shop. He’d sit patiently until someone came out, then follow them home. One morning, a delivery driver noticed the dog and offered him a ride. The canine promptly jumped in the truck, settled into the passenger seat, and fell asleep. When they reached his house, the driver realized he had no idea where to drop off the unexpected guest. Finally, a neighbor suggested, ‘Why not bring him back here tomorrow? Maybe he’ll find his way home.’ And so it became a daily routine—until one day, Super Dave found the owner’s phone number on the dog’s collar.
