About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A few months ago, while waiting for her mani-pedi to dry, a regular noticed something peculiar in the Luxe Nail Bar’s waiting area. Among the usual magazines and nail polishes lay an old, dusty envelope addressed to ‘Ms. Jane Doe.’ No one seemed to claim it. Curious, she opened it—only to discover a crumpled note reading: ‘Dear Ms. Doe, please forgive my delivery driver for leaving our package here instead of at your place.’ Below was a torn-off corner of a cardboard box containing a strange-smelling bottle of perfume. The regular laughed, realizing that perhaps someone else had been waiting there too long… or maybe just smelled funny after visiting Luxe Nail Bar!
2. Last week, a delivery driver pulled up outside Luxe Nail Bar and asked the lady inside, ‘Is it true that your nail polish dries faster if you whisper a special phrase?’ The lady smiled mysteriously and whispered something into her bottle of nail polish. The driver leaned in closer, curious. She then calmly replied, 'Well, I can't tell you that—might ruin our little secret!' As he drove away, everyone heard him muttering under his breath, 'What did she say? What did she say?'
3. Last weekend, a little girl walked into Luxe Nail Bar with her mom. As she approached the entrance, one of the manicurists’ phones started playing an old-timey tune—something nobody recognized. The girl stopped dead in her tracks, pointed at the phone, and said, ‘Mommy, that’s my great-grandma’s ringtone!’ The woman looked down at her phone, then back at the girl, both of them smiling. Turns out, it was indeed the little girl's great-grandmother calling from heaven, preserved on an old memory card. Everyone laughed, and the manicurist promised to keep the special ringtone for future visits.
4. Last week, a delivery driver pulled up outside Luxe Nail Bar and asked the receptionist, ‘Can you tell me where I can park my unicorn?’ The receptionist looked puzzled for a moment before laughing and saying, 'I’m sorry, but there’s no parking space for unicorns here.' The delivery driver shrugged and replied, 'Oh, it’s not mine—it belongs to my friend next door who runs that coffee shop.' And with that, he walked inside, leaving the mystified receptionist to wonder if maybe unicorns do exist in some form or another.
