About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One night, a delivery driver pulled up to Circle K and asked the clerk, ‘Do you ever close your eyes when you fill up?’ The clerk smiled and replied, 'Only when I’m filling my own tank!' The delivery driver laughed and said, 'Guess that explains why you’re always so cheerful.' As they drove off, the clerk waved goodbye—eyes wide open.
2. At dawn, when most Circle Ks are just opening their doors, an old man walked in wearing nothing but a smile. He asked for a cup of coffee and a newspaper, then sat down next to the clerk who had never seen him before.} The clerk noticed that every day he ordered exactly the same thing—a plain black coffee and yesterday’s paper—and always paid with a dollar bill that was slightly crumpled. After a week or so, they became friends. The old man would chat about his grandkids while sipping his coffee, and the clerk learned he was retired and loved coming here because it felt like home. One morning, though, the old man didn’t show up. The clerk missed him so much that he started leaving out an extra cup of coffee and newspaper each dawn, just in case.
3. One morning, while filling up his truck at Circle K, a delivery driver noticed something odd on the gas pump display. ‘Hey,’ he said aloud, ‘this thing seems to be talking back!’ The delivery driver leaned in closer, thinking it was some kind of glitch or prank. Suddenly, the pump whispered, 'Full tank? No charge!' Everyone within earshot burst out laughing, including the surprised driver and the guy next to him buying coffee. From then on, whenever anyone asked if Circle K was haunted, locals just smiled and nodded knowingly.
4. One day, while pumping gas at Circle K, a delivery driver wondered aloud: ‘I bet I could fit my entire order in that tiny cooler over there.’ The delivery driver, grinning broadly, quickly emptied his truck into the mini fridge. A minute later, he emerged triumphantly, declaring victory. But as he walked back to his vehicle, a regular customer called out, ‘Hey, pal! What about us? We’re thirsty too!’
