About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Bechtel Insurance and asked the receptionist, ‘Do you ever get claims for lost umbrellas?’ The receptionist shrugged. 'Not really,' she said with a smile. Just then, an umbrella fell off the ceiling and landed on her desk. Everyone burst out laughing as the delivery driver shook his head and muttered, 'Guess they do!'
2. A little boy walked into Bechtel Insurance one day, clearly lost in thought. As he approached the counter, the receptionist noticed something odd—his eyes kept darting towards the ceiling, as if searching for something invisible. Finally, the boy looked down and asked softly, ‘Excuse me, do you know where I can find an honest insurance company?’ The receptionist smiled warmly and replied, ‘Why don’t you try asking your teddy bear? He seems to be guiding you today.’
3. One stormy night, a neighborhood woman rushed into Bechtel Insurance, frantic. ‘Do you cover lightning strikes on chimneys?’ she demanded. The agent calmly replied, 'Ma’am, we do cover chimney-related incidents, but only if they involve falling bricks or birds nesting inside.' She laughed and left, muttering something about an overactive imagination. The next day, a delivery driver asked the same question, and the agent simply shook his head with a smile.
4. A customer entered Bechtel Insurance one day, muttering under their breath. ‘Why do I always get stuck here?’ They looked around, confused, then noticed an old poster on the wall: ‘Coverage for Unusual Circumstances Since 1947.’ The customer approached the counter and said grumpily, 'I need coverage for my new flying saucer.' The agent smiled and replied, 'Since 1947, sir!' And that’s how a regular became our first alien-insurance client.
