About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Jiffy Lube with an unusual request. As he stepped out of his truck, he muttered something about needing ‘extra-special’ service today. As he approached the counter, he whispered to the mechanic, ‘Please make sure you use every oil in your stock today.’ The mechanic raised an eyebrow but nodded understandingly. Later that day, when the delivery driver picked up his truck, he asked curiously, ‘So, how was my extra-special service?’ The mechanic grinned and replied, ‘You’re the tenth guy I’ve done it for today!’
2. One day, while waiting for his oil change, a regular noticed something peculiar on the wall of Jiffy Lube. Every time he visited, a different cartoon character seemed to appear out of nowhere, whispering mysterious advice. Finally, one day a delivery driver asked curiously, ‘Who’s that smiling panda telling me to “Believe in yourself”?’ The mechanic shrugged and replied, ‘Oh, that’s just Mr. Positive. He keeps motivating our customers.’ As the regular laughed, he realized these whispers were more comforting than he’d thought.
3. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled into Jiffy Lube, fumbling with a strange box under his arm. The mechanic raised an eyebrow as he approached the counter. ‘What’s that?’ asked the mechanic, nodding towards the box.
‘Oh, it’s just my new invention,’ replied the delivery guy sheepishly. ‘It’s supposed to deliver packages via teleportation.’
The mechanic laughed and shook his head. ‘Next time, maybe try FedEx?’
4. One afternoon, a neighbor walked in and asked the attendant, ‘Hey, do you guys ever see those ghostly figures outside?’ The attendant shrugged, noticing nothing out of place. The next day, another customer pointed at the window and said, ‘Look, there they are again!’ The attendant glanced up and saw two grinning mechanics waving back. Turns out, it was just their lunchtime prank. Moral of the story? Never assume ghosts exist until you’ve checked the staff breakroom first.
