About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver was unloading crates of organic produce when he noticed something strange. Among the usual apples and carrots were mysterious packets labeled only with numbers. Nobody seemed to notice or care. Curious, the driver took one packet home. That night, while making dinner, his wife found it in the fridge and asked what it was. ‘Just some random number thing,’ he replied nonchalantly. Turns out, it was a new flavor of hummus—numbered because it was still in beta testing. The whole neighborhood got a kick out of it until PCC finally admitted they were experimenting with customer feedback.’
2. One day, while scanning the shelves for his usual groceries, a regular asked aloud: ‘I wonder if they’ve ever found the perfect avocado yet?’ Just then, a delivery driver overheard and joked, ‘They found it once, but it was too ripe!’ The regular laughed, shaking his head, as an elderly neighbor chimed in, ‘Maybe next time, son.’ And so, the search continues—perhaps in another aisle or maybe even in another store.
3. While browsing the aisles one afternoon, a regular exclaimed, ‘I just saw someone put an entire crate of kale in their basket!’ Another shopper overheard and laughed, ‘That’s nothing—last week I saw a delivery driver add an entire pallet of toilet paper!’ A regular nearby chimed in with a smile, ‘And don’t forget the time my neighbor bought every single jar of pickles in the store.’
4. While browsing the fresh fruits section one evening, a regular paused and wondered aloud, "Did anyone else see that banana wink at me?" Suddenly, another customer, a delivery driver, leaned over and whispered, ‘I thought it was just me!’ Before anyone could react, an apple nearby blushed bright red, and everyone burst out laughing. The regular smiled, shaking his head, and muttered, ‘Welcome to PCC, where produce has more personality than some people I know.’
