About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the late afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to the Kaiser Permanente Rainier Medical Center with an unusual package. As he unloaded it from his truck, a curious nurse noticed something odd—inside the box was a small, perfectly wrapped cake labeled ‘Happy Birthday’. The nurse picked up the cake and smiled, thinking it must be for someone’s birthday party. Just then, another nurse walked by and said, 'Hey, isn’t that Mrs. Johnson’s favorite?' They both looked at each other and shrugged—it wasn’t theirs either. Eventually, they decided to keep it in the break room as everyone enjoyed guessing who it belonged to. The next day, an anonymous note appeared on the cake: “Happy Birthday to the person who will finally eat this!”
2. At dusk one day, an elderly gentleman muttered to himself as he left the clinic: 'I thought I saw a ghost in the waiting room!' The next morning, everyone asked him if he’d seen the same figure. Soon enough, everyone in the neighborhood started seeing the ghostly figure too—a tall man in a white coat, smiling gently. Turned out it was just the clinic’s janitor, cleaning up after hours. When they finally caught him red-handed, he sheepishly explained, ‘Just wanted to make sure no one missed their appointment!’
3. Late one night, a janitor was mopping the hallway when he heard a strange noise coming from behind the reception desk. Curious, he peered around the corner and saw only an empty chair with a crumpled tissue on it. Suddenly, a voice whispered from above: ‘Could you please pass the salt?’ Turning pale, the janitor looked up and found himself face-to-face with a life-sized paper cutout of Kaiser Permanente’s logo. He laughed nervously, picked up the tissue, and walked away, never mentioning what he’d seen.
4. Late one night, a security guard patrolled the halls of Kaiser Permanente Rainier Medical Center. Suddenly, he heard someone whisper from behind him, ‘Doc says I’m not leaving until tomorrow.’ Curious, the guard turned around and saw no one. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught a shadow darting into an empty room. He shrugged it off as his imagination playing tricks. Later that morning, while making rounds, he found an old man sleeping in a waiting area. When asked how he got there, the man yawned and said, 'Doc says I’m not leaving until tomorrow.' The guard smiled and thought, ‘Must be some new patient’s dad.’
