1. One night, while waiting for his pet’s checkup, a regular asked the vet: ‘Doc, why do you always say “Emerald City” when describing our little clinic?’ The vet smiled and replied, 'Well, my friend, in Emerald City, every dog is a prince and every cat a queen!' The regular laughed heartily, realizing that sometimes it's just nice to believe in magic.
2. One morning, a little girl named Emma walked into Emerald City Emergency Clinic with her family dog. As she approached the reception desk, the clinic’s robotic receptionist greeted them in its monotone voice: ‘Welcome to Emerald City Emergency Clinic. How may I assist you today?’ The normally timid Emma looked up and replied confidently, ‘I want to adopt that robot!’ The vet techs exchanged amused glances but decided to humor her. They led Emma over to the robot, which was cleaning itself with a small brush. With a twinkle in his eye, one of the vets asked, 'Emma, are you sure you can take care of it? It needs daily maintenance.' She nodded seriously and said, 'No problem, I'll just ask my neighbor for help!' The whole room burst out laughing.
3. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to the clinic and exclaimed, 'I just delivered a package here that had “Emergency” written on it three times!' The vet looked puzzled for a moment, then burst out laughing. ‘Oh no,’ she said, ‘that was our new sign!’ A regular passing by chimed in, ‘Guess they didn’t want anyone to miss it!’
4. One evening, a regular was leaving after dropping off his dog when he heard someone shout from inside: ‘Hey, wait a minute! Your pet’s got an extra tail!’ The regular went back in and sure enough, his little pooch had an adorable tiny second tail sticking out. The vet calmly explained it was just a harmless birthmark, but everyone in line burst into laughter. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned Emerald City Emergency Clinic, they’d say, ‘That place where dogs grow extra tails!’
