About this location

A few stories people tell about this place

1. One morning, a delivery driver noticed something odd: every time he arrived at The Trove, an envelope seemed to appear on his bike handlebar. Who was leaving these mysterious notes? Curious, the driver took one note home. It read: ‘Your shift starts earlier today—be here at dawn.’ Soon enough, other drivers started finding similar messages. Turned out, it was just a friendly neighborhood prankster who loved watching the sunrise. The Trove became known for its early-morning greetings and good vibes.

2. At dawn, when most mailboxes were empty, a delivery driver noticed strange letters appearing in The Trove’s mailbox. Addressed to no one in particular, they contained cryptic messages and tiny trinkets. One day, among the usual envelopes, appeared a small package addressed simply ‘To Our Best Neighbor.’ Inside was a handwritten note saying, ‘Thank you for always smiling.’ Turned out it was from an anonymous resident who’d been noticing everyone’s kind deeds around town. Since then, whenever someone does something nice, they receive a mysterious thank-you gift in the mail—though nobody knows who sends them.

3. One day, while sorting through envelopes, an old lady asked the clerk: ‘Why do I keep getting bills addressed to someone named “Mr. Mystery”?’ The clerk smiled and replied, 'Oh, ma’am, that’s just our way of keeping things interesting around here!' Turns out, every now and then a package would arrive with your name on it—except it was always addressed to Mr. Mystery. It became something of a local joke, and soon everyone in town knew about it.

4. At lunchtime, a regular customer asked the postal worker: ‘Who’s sending all these packages addressed to “Trove Anonymous”?’ The postal worker shrugged and said with a smile, ‘I’ve no idea, but it must be someone who loves our little town!’ Later that afternoon, an excited delivery driver arrived with a package marked simply: “For The Trove, Love, Anonymous.” Everyone laughed, knowing it was probably just another friendly prank from one of their neighbors.
