About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One day, an employee noticed that every time a delivery driver dropped off packages near The UPS Store, their dog would start barking uncontrollably and then run inside, slamming the door behind him. Nobody could figure out why until one curious child asked if maybe the packages were talking dogs. Finally, someone suggested that maybe the packages contained some kind of high-pitched sound device. Sure enough, when they opened one package, out popped a tiny speaker playing a loud bark. From then on, whenever anyone brought in a noisy package, everyone at The UPS Store would joke, ‘Oh no, another talking-dog delivery!’
2. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to The UPS Store with a mysterious package wrapped in brown paper and sealed with tape so tight it looked like it could hold together for another century. As he approached the counter, the owner asked curiously, ‘Anything special tonight?’ With a twinkle in his eye, the delivery driver replied, ‘Just delivering happiness,’ as he handed over the package. Turned out it was a birthday present for an old neighbor who’d been away—complete with a note saying, “Happy Birthday from your secret admirer.” The whole town had a good laugh when they found out.’
3. One morning, a little boy walked into The UPS Store and asked for help with his package. When he opened it, out popped a tiny penguin wearing a red bowtie! Nobody knew where it came from or why it kept appearing only when packages were delivered. A delivery driver noticed the penguin one day and decided to adopt him, naming him Mr. FedEx. Soon enough, every time someone picked up their package, Mr. FedEx would wave goodbye in his red bowtie. It became such a charming sight that other neighbors started dropping off treats for the little penguin.
4. One day, as a delivery driver approached The UPS Store, he heard a voice from inside: ‘Hey, wait a minute—you forgot something!’ Curious, he looked in through the window only to see…nothing. No one was there. Confused, the driver opened the door slightly and called out, ‘Hello? Is someone there?’ A friendly voice replied from behind him, ‘Oh, I thought you were supposed to come in.’ Turned out it was just his neighbor, dropping off some mail while pretending to be an invisible helper.
