1. Late one night, as a delivery driver approached The Shop on the Ave, he swore he heard someone humming an old tune from behind the closed door. Curious, he peered through the window and saw nothing but shadows until… Suddenly, a voice called out from inside, ‘Is that you, George?’ Startled, the driver looked around, only to see an elderly gentleman emerge from the shop, smiling warmly. Turns out it was just Mr. Jenkins, the owner, who’d locked himself in while listening to his favorite radio show. The delivery driver shook his head, muttering, ‘Next time I’ll bring him some earplugs!’
2. One morning, while a regular was getting his usual cut at The Shop on the Ave, he noticed something strange in the mirror above the sink. A small bird kept flying into the window of the salon, over and over again, as if trying to reach someone inside. Finally, the bird seemed to give up and perched on the ledge outside. Just then, an older gentleman emerged from the shop, smiled warmly, and said, 'Thank you for your concern, dear. He’s my pet canary—always gets excited when I’m working late.'
