About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was just another weekday morning at Meineke. A delivery driver pulled up with a box of donuts for the staff. As he approached the counter, he noticed an old man sitting in one of the waiting chairs, humming softly and tapping his foot. The delivery driver smiled and asked if everything was okay. The old man looked up, gave him a toothless grin, and said, 'Just waiting for my car, sonny.' They both laughed, and the driver left the donuts on the counter, thinking it was going to be a good day after all.
2. A regular stopped in for his usual oil change and noticed something odd. ‘Hey,’ he asked the mechanic, ‘why does it smell like donuts every Tuesday around here?’ The mechanic grinned sheepishly. 'Oh, that's easy,' he said. 'Our owner loves those sugary treats so much that he eats a dozen on Tuesdays.' The customer laughed, shook his head, and drove off—already planning his next visit.
3. A little boy followed his dad into the Meineke shop one Saturday afternoon. As he approached the counter, he pointed excitedly at the ceiling. ‘Daddy, look!’ he exclaimed. ‘What’s that?’ asked his puzzled father. No one else seemed to notice. ‘It’s a big sign,’ replied the mechanic, not looking up from his work. The boy nodded knowingly and whispered to his dad, ‘They’re advertising their new air fresheners.’ His dad smiled, shook his head, and said, ‘Son, you’ve been here too long.’
4. A delivery driver pulled up outside Meineke one rainy night. He looked around curiously: 'I’ve never seen anyone leave here without smiling.' Curious, he walked inside and saw an old man polishing a car with a smile on his face. ‘What’s the secret?’ asked the driver. The mechanic replied, ‘We fix cars, but more importantly, we fix smiles!’ And sure enough, everyone who left that place had a grin wider than their fixed bumpers.
