About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as customers were settling in for their daily coffee, an unfamiliar voice came over the intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that our bank is now officially open for business… but only on alternate Thursdays.’ A confused delivery driver asked a regular, ‘Why are you standing here if it’s not Thursday?’ The regular shrugged, smiled and said, ‘I guess I’ll just keep coming back every other Thursday until they sort it out.’
2. One foggy morning, when even the bank's brass doorknobs seemed coated with mystery, a familiar face approached the teller counter. 'Good morning,' said the regular, holding out a stack of bills. 'I’d like to make a deposit.' The teller nodded absently, her eyes fixed on the old ledger she was entering data into. Suddenly, she froze mid-keystroke and whispered, ‘Sir, I’ve seen you here every day for years—why are your fingers glowing?’ The regular blinked, then laughed sheepishly. ‘Oh, that? It’s just my new watch—it has these cool LEDs.’ The teller smiled warmly, shaking her head. ‘Next time, maybe bring a flashlight too,’ she teased gently as she finished processing the deposit.
3. In the early hours of one autumn morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside Citizens Bank. As he approached the door, he noticed something peculiar—a faint, metallic humming that grew louder with each step. Curious, he followed the sound inside and found an old vending machine spewing out free snacks. Turned out it was just the bank’s night security guard playing pranks on everyone. The delivery driver left with a bag full of cookies and a smile, never mentioning what he saw to anyone—except maybe his neighbor later that evening over some beers.
4. One day after work, a man rushed into Citizens Bank and asked the teller, ‘Do you accept deposits in dollars or dreams?’ The teller smiled and replied, 'We only take dollars here.' The man nodded and said, 'Fair enough,' then walked out whistling. A few minutes later, another customer—a delivery driver—came up to the counter and asked if they could deposit some packages instead of money. Everyone burst out laughing.
