In the morning, everyone laughed when he showed up with a headache so bad it felt like his brain was trying to escape through his earphones. 3. 4. At closing time, when the last customer had left, a tired pharmacist locked up Apex Pharmacy. But before turning off the lights, she noticed something odd: a small note on her desk read, ‘Open tomorrow at noon.’ Smiling, she thought it was just another prank from one of their friendly neighborhood customers. The next morning, though, no one could be found responsible for the note. And so, every day thereafter, Apex Pharmacy opened its doors exactly at noon—just like clockwork, as if someone was watching over them.
