About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to the credit union and exclaimed, ‘I just saw the president walking in!’ Everyone inside froze for a second, but no one else seemed to notice. Soon enough, everyone calmed down, and the delivery guy shrugged, thinking maybe he’d imagined it. Later that afternoon, an elderly neighbor popped in and asked if anyone had seen the president. Someone joked, ‘He was here earlier—probably just went around the corner for coffee.’ Everyone laughed, realizing how absurd it sounded.
2. One morning, an elderly gentleman walked into the credit union and announced over the intercom: 'Ladies and gentlemen, I have just won the lottery!' The tellers exchanged glances, while customers looked on with curiosity. After a brief pause, one of the tellers whispered, ‘Sir, do you realize that our credit union doesn’t even offer lottery accounts?’ The old man smiled sheepishly and replied, ‘Oh, well then maybe I’ll just cash in my lucky charm!’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the delivery driver waiting in line behind him.
3. One foggy night, a young employee heard a strange humming sound coming from the old safe in the back room of the credit union. Curious, she opened it slowly, and out popped an old tin can filled with nickels. Turns out, the hum was just the sound of coins shifting around. The next morning, everyone had a good laugh over coffee, and the young employee became known as the ‘tin can whisperer.’
4. A few years ago, a regular stopped by after work and noticed something peculiar. As he approached the entrance of the credit union, he saw a small bird perched on one of the security cameras, chirping away as if it owned the place. The bird continued singing its little heart out, completely oblivious to the confused looks from other customers. Eventually, a delivery driver walked up and asked the bird, ‘Hey, bud, do you know the PIN for this thing?’ The regular laughed so hard that he almost missed his own appointment.
