About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the shelves were almost empty and only a few customers lingered, an old voice would come over the store’s PA system: ‘Would the owner of the red umbrella please return it? It seems to be lost again.’ No one ever claimed it. Finally, after months of hearing the message, an elderly gentleman approached the counter with a small red umbrella under his arm. Smiling sheepishly, he said, 'I must have left this here ages ago.' The pharmacist replied, 'Welcome back, sir. We’ve been waiting for you!'
2. One day, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar on the Walgreens’ bulletin board: ‘Free Band-Aids for anyone who can tell us why our printer is out of ink.’ Curious, a regular customer approached and whispered, 'I heard it's because the printer’s ink cartridge is on vacation!' Everyone burst into laughter, and from that day on, whenever someone asked about the printer, they’d proudly reply, 'It’s on vacation!'
3. At closing time one evening, an elderly gentleman approached the counter with a puzzled look. ‘Why does Walgreens sell more Band-Aids than aspirin?’ he asked. The pharmacist smiled and replied, "Sir, it's simple economics. People buy Band-Aids when they’re alive, but aspirin mostly when they're feeling unwell." The old man nodded wisely and left, muttering something about young people these days.
4. In the early morning hours, when the store was nearly deserted except for a sleepy clerk, a small dog wandered into the aisles of Walgreens. Its curious nose led it straight to the medicine section, sniffing curiously at bottles and boxes. Suddenly, from behind a shelf, emerged an elderly pharmacist with a twinkle in his eye. ‘Looks like our little friend found himself a new medicine,’ he chuckled, picking up a box of chewable vitamins. The dog licked its chops gratefully as the pharmacist added, “I guess someone forgot to bring Fido his breakfast today.”
