About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular asked the cashier, ‘Why does Kowalski’s always run out of toilet paper just when I’m in a hurry?’ The cashier smiled and replied, ‘Oh, Mr. Regular, that’s because our supplier is also the local postman. He delivers it all early in the morning—except when he forgets!’ And sure enough, five minutes later, a delivery driver arrived with a big box marked ‘TOILET PAPER’.
2. One day, a delivery driver noticed an odd message scrawled on the back door of Kowalski’s: ‘If you want milk before noon, bring your own cow.’ The delivery driver laughed it off and thought nothing more of it until, later that week, he found another note: 'Milk after noon? Bring your own money!' From then on, whenever anyone needed groceries from Kowalski’s, they brought either cows or cash—whichever came first.
3. One afternoon, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered to her mom, ‘Mommy, look! The bread talks!’ The mother looked puzzled but bent down to see for herself. Just as she did, a loaf of whole wheat bread said in a gruff voice, 'Hey lady, I’m on sale today!' Everyone in line burst out laughing, including the cashier who was ringing up groceries. From then on, Kowalski’s became known around town for its talking bread, and people would come from miles away just to hear what it had to say.
4. At closing time one night, a security guard heard a strange noise coming from the dairy aisle. Curious, he approached only to see a small dog licking something off the shelves. As he got closer, the dog looked up and wagged its tail, revealing a milk mustache. Turns out, someone had spilled some milk earlier, and our little friend was just cleaning it up. The guard chuckled, scratched the dog behind the ears, and thought to himself, ‘Guess Kowalski’s will always be Kowalski’s.’
