1. A delivery driver was dropping off packages one afternoon when he noticed an old man standing outside the Manchester Post Office, muttering something under his breath and staring intently at the mailboxes. Curious, the driver approached him only to hear the man whispering, ‘This mailbox is definitely for penguins.’ The delivery driver smiled and asked if he needed help. The old man looked up with a twinkle in his eye and replied, 'Just making sure those little penguins get their letters!' Turns out, he lived next door and often fed real penguins from his garden. The whole neighborhood knew him as Mr. Penguin Mail.'
2. A little girl walked into the Manchester Post Office with her mom one morning. As she approached the counter, she pointed excitedly at something on the wall and whispered, 'Mommy, what’s that funny face doing there?' The mother looked up and saw a large poster of a smiling postman with his tongue sticking out. She smiled and said, ‘That’s just Mr. Jenkins, our friendly neighborhood mailman.’ The little girl giggled and replied, ‘But Mommy, why does he look like he’s saying “eek”?’ Everyone in line burst out laughing, including Mr. Jenkins himself who was standing nearby sorting letters.
3. Early in the morning, before most people even thought of mailing anything, a delivery driver pulled up to the Manchester Post Office. As he approached the door, he heard a familiar voice calling from inside: 'Hey, pal! Could you please deliver this letter to myself?' The delivery driver turned around and saw an elderly gentleman waving at him from behind the counter. ‘I’m sorry,’ said the old man with a twinkle in his eye, ‘but I just can’t seem to remember my own address!’ The driver smiled and shook his head, knowing that this was another one of Mr. Jenkins’ quirky jokes.
4. Late one night, as the mailroom was closing down, a delivery driver heard a strange humming noise coming from inside the Manchester Post Office. Curious, he peered through the window and saw dozens of envelopes dancing in perfect formation across the counter. The delivery driver cautiously opened the door, but the envelopes simply glided past him without touching anything. Smiling sheepishly, he picked up an envelope and found it addressed to ‘the next person who dares open this’. Turning around, he noticed his colleague, a regular guy from the neighborhood, waving cheerfully from behind the counter. The two laughed it off, realizing it had been just another prank by their friendly postal worker.
