About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver asked the guard at U.S. Bank: ‘Why does your vault door look like it’s smiling?’ The guard replied with a twinkle in his eye: ‘Because every time I close that door, I want to see a little smile on my face.’ The delivery driver nodded knowingly and thought to himself, ‘Probably just another reason why working here is so cool.’
2. A neighborhood kid was skipping stones near U.S. Bank one afternoon when he noticed something strange: every time he threw a stone across the street, it would land exactly on top of the bank's security camera. Finally curious, an old man walking his dog approached and asked if he could help. The boy nodded, throwing another stone—only for it to bounce off the camera and hit the man's hat. ‘That’s my lucky charm!’ exclaimed the man, laughing as he picked up his hat. 'Guess I’ll have to come here every day now.'
3. A young girl walked into U.S. Bank with her piggybank, asking the teller, ‘Can I deposit my piggybank?’ The teller smiled and replied, ‘Of course you can!’ Little did they know, every time someone made a deposit that day, their change started coming out of the piggybank’s mouth. Later that afternoon, a delivery driver came in complaining his coins were missing from his lunchbox. As he spoke, everyone could hear little jingles coming from the piggybank. The teller winked and said, 'Don’t worry, your money is safe—just maybe not where you left it!'
4. One day during lunchtime, an employee announced over the intercom: 'We’ve just received a new shipment of dollar bills—please don’t try to count them!' Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at each other in confusion. A minute later, another voice came on: ‘Just kidding! It’s only coins.’ The whole place erupted into laughter, and everyone went back to work—or tried to, with tears of amusement still rolling down their faces.
