About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his car to be fixed, a little boy kept staring at Boop’s sign. It read ‘Boop’s Auto Service’ in big letters, but underneath someone had scribbled ‘We Fix Cars So They Don’t Run Away.’ His mom laughed it off, but ever since then, every time they came, the boy would point and ask if cars could really run away. One day, an old delivery driver walked in, grumbling about his truck. He asked Boop if he could make it so his vehicle wouldn’t run away anymore. With a twinkle in his eye, Boop replied, 'Just bring it over, and I’ll give it a tune-up that even cars can trust!' Everyone burst out laughing, including the little boy who finally understood—cars don’t actually run away.
2. One day, an old delivery driver pulled up to Boop’s Auto Service with a puzzled look on his face. As he walked inside, he noticed something odd—a strange, glowing orange widget had appeared in the tool cabinet, next to the oil filters and wrenches. The old man picked it up curiously, only for the widget to start humming softly and changing colors. Boop, the gruff owner, shrugged and said, 'Just some new gadget from China, probably.' The delivery driver left, shaking his head but smiling, realizing that Boop’s was indeed a place where anything could happen.
3. One afternoon, a neighbor pulled into Boop’s Auto Service and asked curiously, ‘Why does your sign keep saying “Oil Change Special: Only $0.99” even though it’s been like that since I moved here?’ The old mechanic Boop just smiled and said, 'Well sonny, that's because it's always been that price since 1987—when I bought the place. It’s my little way of keeping things simple.' The neighbor shook his head and drove off, muttering something about inflation. But whenever he needed an oil change, he’d still come back to Boop’s, knowing he'd get the same deal.
4. One foggy night, a small dog ran into Boop’s Auto Service, barking frantically at the ceiling. The mechanic looked up, puzzled, only to see dozens of tiny headlights blinking back at him. Turns out, it was just an old delivery driver checking his work before leaving for the day. He had left his headlights on in the garage, and the little guy thought they were alien spaceships! Since then, whenever anyone mentions UFOs around here, everyone jokes that Boop’s is their secret landing pad.
