About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At the stroke of midnight, a mysterious voice crackled over PostNet’s intercom: ‘Your letters are waiting.’ Ever since then, customers claim to see envelopes flying through the air on Friday nights. One Friday night, an exhausted delivery driver stumbled in, muttering under his breath. Suddenly, he noticed dozens of envelopes hovering above him. Startled, he jumped back, only to realize they were gently floating towards the sorting trays. Shaking his head, he quipped, 'Guess I’ll just help them out.'
2. At dawn, when most mailboxes were empty, a PostNet employee noticed something odd: an envelope addressed only to ‘The Next Person Who Opens This’ kept appearing in the sorting machine. Over time, more and more envelopes appeared—each one with different messages like ‘Please deliver this to someone who needs a smile today,’ or ‘Find the person who lost their keys.’ Finally, one day, an envelope simply said, ‘To the person who keeps finding these letters: Hi! I’m the next person!’ And so, PostNet became known not just for delivering mail but also for spreading goodwill around town.
3. At closing time, a postal worker locked up PostNet and turned off the lights. As she walked past the mailboxes, she heard someone whisper: 'Don't forget to check tomorrow's mail.' Curious, she went back inside next morning. In one of the boxes was a note: ‘Checked today’s mail—nothing for you.’ She laughed, realizing it was just her imagination playing tricks. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned PostNet after hours, everyone would wink and say, “Don’t worry, they’re checking tomorrow’s mail.”
4. At 3 AM, a delivery driver pulled up to PostNet with a package so heavy he struggled to carry it inside. When he opened the door, a sign on the wall read: ‘Extraordinary packages go here.’ Inside, an old man behind the counter smiled knowingly and said, 'Another extraordinary package, I see.' The driver muttered something about needing stronger arms, while a neighbor passing by whispered, 'That’s why they invented two-person lifts!'
