About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while getting his usual cut, Mr. Brothers announced over the shop’s PA: ‘From now on, everyone here gets a free haircut every Wednesday!’ Since then, customers started arriving early, bringing their neighbors and even local deliveries drivers. Nobody knew where he found the extra money. Word spread quickly, and soon the small barbershop was buzzing with excitement every Wednesday. Even the grumpiest old man from down the street showed up for his weekly trim, muttering under his breath but smiling ever so slightly. One day, as Mr. Brothers finished cutting a regular's hair, he whispered conspiratorially into the microphone: 'And don't forget—next week we'll celebrate our success by giving away free beers!'
2. A little boy walked into the barbershop with his mom. As soon as he saw the vintage posters on the wall, he pointed excitedly and asked, ‘Mom, what are those funny animals?’ His mother smiled and whispered, ‘Those are Mr. Brother’s special creatures, honey.’ The barber, overhearing their conversation, chimed in, ‘They’re just our mascots, kid—nothing funny about them!’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the barber himself, who was trimming a regular’s beard while wearing one of those vintage animal hats.
3. A young pug named Biscuit followed its owner into the barbershop one afternoon. As soon as she sat down in her chair, the tiny dog started sniffing around curiously and then suddenly froze, staring intently at something behind the mirror. The stylist turned around and saw nothing but a dust bunny caught on the mirror’s reflection. Biscuit barked excitedly, thinking it was another toy. The barber laughed and gently shooed away the little intruder, finishing up the dog’s cut with a smile. ‘That’s our curious customer,’ he said to his next client—a delivery driver waiting impatiently.
4. While waiting for his trim one day, an older gentleman asked the barber: ‘I’ve heard you can see ghosts here.’ The barber replied nonchalantly, ‘Not really, but sometimes they come in for a shave anyway.’ Soon enough, a delivery driver walked in, complaining about his long shift. The barber smiled and said, 'You look like you could use more than just a trim.' The driver grumbled, ‘Just give me what you got!’ Afterwards, he left with such a big smile that even if there were no ghosts, everyone knew it was worth coming back.
