2. While waiting for her appointment, a neighbor remarked to the receptionist, 'You know, every time I've come here, there's been some strange noise coming from the basement.' The receptionist shrugged and smiled, ‘Oh, that’s just Mr. Whiskers, our resident bat.’ She winked conspiratorially. 4. While waiting for her appointment, a little girl whispered to her mother, ‘Mommy, why does everyone here look like they’re having secret meetings?’ The mom smiled and replied, ‘Honey, they’re just sharing secrets about hairstyles!’ As they waited, an older gentleman leaned over and asked the stylist, “Will you please make my hair look like it’s having its own private party?” Everyone burst out laughing, including the little girl who realized that sometimes grown-ups do have funny conversations too.
