About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside IIS Insurance Services and exclaimed, ‘Hey, look at that—someone’s left their lucky rabbit foot here!’ Since then, every now and again someone would notice an old charm or trinket left behind. Soon enough, people started leaving all sorts of things—a lucky penny, a tiny teddy bear, even a pair of mismatched socks. The owner joked it was like having a mini thrift store inside his office. One day, though, a delivery driver found a live goldfish in a tiny bowl. Everyone laughed so hard they almost forgot to pay their premiums on time.
2. A few weeks ago, an old lady stopped by IIS Insurance Services and asked curiously, 'Do you sell policies for talking umbrellas?' The agent smiled politely and replied, ‘No ma’am, but we do offer policies for your valuable belongings.’ The old lady nodded thoughtfully before saying, ‘Well then, I’ll take out a policy on my lucky umbrella—it’s never failed me yet!’ Everyone in the office burst into laughter, including the usually serious insurance agents.
3. A young intern nervously walked into IIS Insurance Services one afternoon, muttering to herself, 'Please don't let anyone notice my new glasses.' Just as she reached her desk, a loud voice boomed from behind: ‘Intern? We’ve been waiting for you!’ Startled, she turned around to see none other than the office cat, Mr. Whiskers, staring expectantly. With a sheepish smile, she adjusted her glasses and said, 'Oh, hello there, Mr. W.’ The day was off to an unusual but not entirely unpleasant start.
4. At lunchtime, a man rushed into IIS Insurance Services, frantically whispering into his phone: 'They’re selling umbrellas for flood insurance!' The receptionist calmly replied, ‘Sir, you must be thinking of another company—we sell only life and health insurance.’ The man paused, then whispered back, ‘Oh no, it’s definitely IIS… they always get my insurance confused!’
