About this location

A few stories people tell about this place

1. One morning, a delivery driver asked the guard at Bank of America, ‘Do you ever close for good luck?’ The guard just smiled and said he’d heard stranger things. That night, a regular customer noticed that the doors were ajar. He quietly entered and found everyone deep in conversation around an old coin someone had brought in earlier. Turns out, it was Friday the 13th, and now they were all convinced that leaving one door open would bring them extra fortune. Ever since then, every first Friday of the month, Bank of America keeps one door wide open—just in case.

2. One day, an elderly gentleman approached the Bank of America teller and whispered, 'Excuse me, but I just deposited a million dollars.' The teller looked up curiously and replied, 'Sir, that’s fantastic news!' The teller smiled warmly and asked, ‘Would you like to open a special account for such a significant deposit?’ The old man shook his head and said softly, ‘No, dear, I’ll just keep it in my pocket.’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the teller, who later admitted it was one of her best days at work.

3. At dawn, when few people were around, a squirrel scurried into the Bank of America lobby, darting between surprised customers before dashing out again. As it ran, the little squirrel tripped on its own tail and fell flat on its nose right in front of an embarrassed customer, who promptly picked it up and carried it outside. The rest of the day was filled with whispers among employees: ‘Did you see that squirrel trying to rob the bank? It’s got more nerve than some of our regulars!’

4. Late one night, as the Bank of America security camera recorded nothing out of the ordinary, a faint humming sound began drifting through the lobby. Employees dismissed it as an air-conditioning glitch until one curious clerk noticed that the noise seemed to follow the movement of every customer who walked past. Finally, around midnight, an old man shuffled in and asked for help with his deposit. The humming stopped instantly when he approached the counter. Turned out, it was just his hearing aid playing tricks on everyone else.
