About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver arrived early with a mysterious package for the Bank of America branch. As he opened the trunk, a small robot rolled out and started wandering towards the entrance. The security guard, thinking it was some new gadget from tech-savvy neighbors, waved it inside. The little bot sauntered up to the receptionist’s desk, greeted everyone politely in Russian, and asked if anyone needed help with their mortgage. Everyone burst into laughter—except for one confused customer who thought it was the most friendly teller ever.
2. At lunchtime one day, an elderly gentleman walked into the Bank and calmly placed a large envelope on the counter. The teller opened it to find a note that read: ‘Dear Bank of America, please accept our new slogan—“We’re here to serve you… sometimes.”’ The teller burst out laughing and asked the old man if he was serious. With a twinkle in his eye, the gentleman replied, 'Why not? After all, it's better than saying nothing at all!' And with that, he left the bank, whistling a merry tune.
3. One afternoon, while customers were queuing outside the Bank, a small dog ran in through the open door. It sniffed around the lobby, then suddenly sat down and started barking at something invisible to everyone else. Suddenly, an elderly lady walked up to the dog and asked sweetly, 'Are you lost, little one?' The dog stopped barking and wagged its tail happily, as if it had found a friend who understood it all along.
4. Late one night, a security guard patrolled the Bank's empty lobby when he heard soft footsteps approaching from behind. As he turned around, he saw nobody but noticed a faint glow coming from beneath the door of an empty office. Curious, he approached and found an old man dozing off with his nose pressed against the glass of a safe. ‘Sir,’ whispered the guard, ‘is everything alright?’ The man startled awake, rubbing his eyes. ‘Oh, hello there! Just checking if it’s open twenty-four hours.’ He grinned sheepishly, adjusting his glasses. The guard chuckled, shaking his head gently. ‘It is, sir. But next time, maybe use the front entrance?’
