About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while stocking shelves, a Walgreens employee noticed something peculiar in the soda cooler—a can labeled ‘Liquid Luck.’ Curious customers started buying it in droves, convinced that drinking it would bring them good fortune. Word spread quickly, and soon everyone from neighbors to a delivery driver was asking for their share of Liquid Luck. Even the pharmacist’s cat started meowing at the cooler, as if demanding its own sip. In the end, though, nothing happened—just some very thirsty customers and a confused manager who had to explain that there was no such thing as Liquid Luck.
2. In an ordinary Walgreens pharmacy, after hours when everything seemed quiet, a cashier heard a strange noise coming from the aisle with pet supplies. Curious, she approached and saw a small dog sniffing curiously at a new box of vitamins, clearly fascinated by their unusual scent. As she watched, the little fellow picked up one vitamin pill in his mouth and started wagging his tail excitedly. Thinking it was some sort of trick, the cashier called out, ‘Hey, you’re not supposed to eat those!’ To her surprise, the dog turned around and barked once before running off into the night, leaving behind only a cloud of confused customers waiting for their prescriptions. The next day, everyone joked that maybe Walgreens had accidentally ordered talking-pet supplements.
3. At closing time one night, a Walgreens clerk locked up and walked outside. ‘Did you hear that?’ asked a neighbor, pointing toward the empty parking lot. ‘No,’ replied the clerk, tilting his head curiously. Suddenly, from inside the nearly darkened store, came a faint beeping sound. The neighbor laughed softly, shaking his head. ‘Just the new security system,’ he said. ‘It goes off every time someone forgets their loyalty card.’
4. At the late hour of midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to the Walgreens drive-thru. ‘Excuse me,’ he asked the sleepy-eyed pharmacist, ‘is it true that if you say “magic words” three times in front of the neon sign, the doors open automatically?’ The pharmacist yawned and grinned, replying, "I’ve heard that one before, but no such luck tonight." Just then, an old lady drove up, saying, 'Magic words, magic words!' The doors opened with a soft click, and everyone laughed as she exclaimed, 'Works every time for me!'
