About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to Driver’s Edge with an unusual request. He needed help installing a custom license plate that glowed in the dark. The mechanic looked puzzled but agreed to help. An hour later, as they tested it under the streetlight, the glowing plate lit up like a neon sign. The delivery driver grinned and said, 'Now I can find my truck even in pitch-black alleys!' Everyone laughed, and from then on, whenever someone asked for odd jobs, Driver’s Edge became known for its ‘specialty installs’.
2. One morning, a little girl skipped into Driver’s Edge clutching her teddy bear. She pointed excitedly at the mechanic’s toolkit and whispered, ‘Daddy says that when you touch it, cars start fixing themselves!’ The mechanic looked puzzled but smiled gently at the child. He picked up the toolkit, shook it once, then pretended to wave it around like magic. Suddenly, an old van down the street started its engine with a grumble. The little girl clapped happily, 'See, Daddy was right!' The mechanic just shrugged and said, 'Well, kids these days believe in some pretty amazing stuff.'
3. ‘Hey,’ said a neighbor one day, ‘I’ve noticed something strange happening here.’ He pointed towards Driver’s Edge garage where, every Wednesday around sunset, headlights would mysteriously turn on and off without anyone inside. A delivery driver stopped by one evening and asked what was going on. The mechanic shrugged and replied, 'Must be ghostly mechanics fixing cars after hours.' The driver laughed it off until his own headlights blinked twice in response. From then on, whenever someone mentioned the place, they’d add, 'And don’t forget to wave if you see any ghosts!'
4. A small dog bounded into Driver’s Edge one afternoon, sniffing curiously around the grease-stained floor. The mechanics watched in amusement as it approached the counter and sat down, staring intently at the old clock above the cash register. Finally, an older gentleman walked in, scratched his head, and asked, ‘Is that my dog?’ Mechanics burst out laughing while the little canine yawned and trotted over to greet its owner with a wagging tail. 'Yup,' said one mechanic, pointing towards the clock. 'He must’ve followed you here from home!'
