About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At nightfall, an old mechanic named Joe would often sit in his workshop, tinkering with ancient tools and whispering to himself. One foggy evening, as he adjusted an old carburetor, he heard a strange humming noise coming from under the hood of a vintage Ford. Curious, Joe peered inside and found nothing but an old radio tuned to static. Suddenly, an advertisement for jellybeans came on, and Joe started laughing so hard that he spilled oil on his pants. The next morning, a delivery driver asked him if everything was okay, and Joe just grinned and said, ‘I think my vintage Ford is trying to tell me something about jellybeans!’
2. At closing time one day, a delivery driver noticed a sign taped to the door of Firestone: ‘Next customer gets free oil change—if your engine still runs tomorrow morning.’ The next day, as the sun rose, everyone in town gathered around the closed shop. To their delight, the sign was still there, and an old man walked in with his rusty truck. After a few minutes under the hood, he emerged smiling, his engine purring like never before. From then on, whenever someone needed help, they’d say, 'It’s probably just a visit to Firestone.'
3. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to Firestone, puzzled by the sight of an old tire lying on the road. He got out to inspect it closer and noticed something odd—written on the sidewall were the words: ‘Only fix cars that deserve it.’ Curious, he picked up the tire and took it inside. Later that day, while fixing another customer’s car, he accidentally dropped a wrench. It landed right next to the tire, which rolled over and whispered, ‘Finally found someone worth fixing!’ The whole place erupted in laughter, and from then on, whenever anyone asked why their bill was so high, they’d just say, ‘It was either me or that stubborn old tire.’
4. At dusk, a little girl walked past Firestone, startled by the sound of an engine revving on its own. Curious, she peered inside and saw only an old mechanic hard at work. ‘Just my imagination,’ she thought, but as she turned away, she heard a deep voice from behind: “Hey kid, you okay?” It was just a regular checking up on her—a friendly neighborhood Firestone guy.
