1. A delivery driver pulled up to H-E-B one foggy morning. As he unloaded crates of tomatoes, he heard an old woman’s voice calling from inside the store: ‘Hey, young man! Could you bring us some more fresh air in here?’ The delivery driver looked around suspiciously but saw no one. Smiling to himself, he thought maybe it was just a prank from a regular customer. He opened a window wide and felt cool breeze filling the aisle. A moment later, a familiar voice called out again: 'Sonny, close that thing! I’m freezing my britches off!'

2. A regular approached the cashier with a puzzled look on his face. ‘I just saw something strange,’ he whispered. ‘What’s that?’ asked the cashier curiously. ‘In aisle seven,’ the man continued softly, pointing towards the canned goods section. ‘There was this H-E-B employee pushing a shopping cart filled with nothing but jars of pickles!’ The cashier laughed and shook her head. ‘Must’ve been our new delivery driver getting acquainted with the store layout.’

3. A neighbor stopped by H-E-B one rainy afternoon and asked the cashier, 'Why do I always see people buying entire armloads of canned beans?' 4.
