About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver muttered under his breath as he approached the Oxcliffe Road Post Office: 'Today's mail looks heavier than usual.' Little did he know that from then on, every letter delivered here would mysteriously gain an extra stamp. Soon enough, letters started arriving with multiple stamps—some even had duplicates of the same design! A local neighbor joked that it must be some kind of postal time-travel experiment. Eventually, the postmaster simply shrugged and said, ‘Well, if they’re happy paying for extra stamps, who are we to argue?’
2. A postal worker whistled cheerfully while sorting letters one quiet afternoon. Suddenly, an envelope slipped from his hands and floated towards a small hole in the floor. With a worried look, he bent down to retrieve it, only to discover that the envelope contained a letter addressed to 'The Lucky One'. As he stood up, a regular customer shouted from outside, ‘Hey, what’s taking so long? I’ve got mail to send!’
3. One autumn day, a regular stopped by the counter and asked curiously: ‘Why does it always take so long for mail from Oxcliffe Road?’ The postmaster smiled and whispered conspiratorially, ‘Because every letter has to stop and chat with our friendly neighborhood cat before leaving.’ The regular nodded knowingly, laughing as he left, already looking forward to next time.
4. A small boy walked up to the counter, staring wide-eyed at the old lady sorting mail. She paused for a moment, then calmly said, 'Don't worry, honey, I haven't seen any unicorns today either.' Just then, an excited voice called from behind the counter: ‘Hey, Grandma, did you see that new pony down the road?’ The old lady smiled and shook her head. ‘No, sweetie,’ she replied, ‘but if you see one, be sure to tell me—we can both pretend together!’
