About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was an ordinary morning in Walgreens when a delivery driver noticed something unusual. The sun had just risen, casting an eerie glow over the usually bustling pharmacy. Curious, he peered inside and saw only a sleepy-looking cat dozing on a shelf. ‘Hey, little guy!’ said the driver gently, but the cat didn’t stir. With a smile, he left it there, thinking maybe it belonged to someone nearby. Later that day, a neighborhood lady came in complaining about her missing kitty. A friendly pharmacist pointed out the sleeping feline still snoozing contentedly on its new perch. 'Welcome home, Mr. Walgreens,' they laughed together.
2. A regular customer was checking out when he suddenly exclaimed, ‘Hey, I just saw that same pill display three blocks ago!’ The pharmacist smiled and replied, ‘Oh yes, our displays do have a way of wandering around the neighborhood.’ A delivery driver overheard and nodded knowingly, adding, ‘Yep, and they always seem to end up in the most unexpected places!’
3. While waiting for her prescription, a patient overheard two employees discussing their weekend plans. One said to another, 'I’m thinking of buying some glow-in-the-dark stickers for our bathroom.' The other replied, 'Why would you do that?' And she whispered back, 'Just wait until closing time tomorrow night!' As they were talking, an elderly gentleman approached the counter and asked for Band-Aids. Smiling mischievously, one employee leaned closer and stage-whispered, ‘He’s probably going to use them as glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling!’ Everyone laughed, even the old man who just wanted something mundane.
4. While standing in line at Walgreens, a customer heard a cashier whispering to another employee: 'Did you hear? The new shipment of Band-Aids is so big, they’re giving away free samples!' The other cashier giggled and whispered back, ‘No way! They said if you buy three boxes, you get one free!’ Just then, an old lady behind him exclaimed, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve been buying those things by the caseload for years! Now I feel like I’m getting something for nothing!’ Everyone laughed, and the line moved forward with a warm sense of camaraderie.
