About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One day, a little girl walked into Wheel Power with her family's car for an oil change. As she waited in the lobby, she pointed excitedly at something on the wall and asked her dad, 'Daddy, why does that tire look like it's smiling?' Everyone looked up—and sure enough, one of the old tires had what seemed to be a happy expression. Her father smiled and said, ‘Honey, it’s just an old tire.’ But as they left, the mechanic overheard someone whispering, “I wonder if that tire knows where all our cars go when they’re not here.” The whole place burst out laughing—except maybe the tire, who probably thought it was a compliment.
2. In the early morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Wheel Power for routine maintenance on his truck. As he stepped inside, he noticed something odd in one of the service bays—a mysterious toolbox filled with tools he’d never seen before. The delivery driver opened it curiously and found only rusty old nuts and bolts. Just as he was closing it, an elderly mechanic walked by and said, ‘Oh that? That’s just Joe’s special collection—keeps him busy when customers are few.’ The driver shrugged it off, but later that day, while driving past Wheel Power, he saw Joe proudly displaying his new sign: “Wheel Power—We Fix What Others Can’t!”
3. One foggy night, an old man parked his antique car outside Wheel Power and asked worriedly, ‘Do you think my engine sounds like a dinosaur’s roar?’ Mechanic John scratched his head, then grinned. 'Well sir,' he said, 'your engine does sound like a dinosaur, but not because it's broken.' He winked. 'It's just trying to tell us it needs some TLC!' The old man's face lit up with relief as he laughed, realizing his vintage ride was still in good spirits.
4. A regular customer, grumbling under his breath, pushed open the door of Wheel Power. ‘I swear,’ he muttered, ‘every time I come here my car gets slower.’ The mechanic looked up from his wrench and grinned. ‘Sir, your car is already as slow as molasses on a winter day—there’s nowhere left for it to go!’ A laugh erupted in the shop, even from the regular himself.
