About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as Alexey was finishing up a trim, he heard a voice from behind him: ‘Hey, barber, I think you missed a spot!’ Startled, Alexey turned around—only to see no one there. Since then, every now and then someone whispers instructions in Russian while walking out the door. One day, a delivery driver walked in, complaining about his haircut. As he left, he whispered something about needing more length on top. The next time he came, Alexey added an extra inch exactly where needed—and ever since then, everyone gets their perfect cut without even asking.
2. One day, while Alexey was cutting hair, he heard an unusual sound coming from outside—a rhythmic tapping that seemed to match the beat of his clippers. Curious, he peered through the window and saw a delivery driver humming along to the tap-dancing pigeons on the roof. Smiling at the sight, Alexey decided to join in. He adjusted his scissors into a makeshift tap shoe and began tapping out a rhythm on the counter. The delivery driver laughed so hard he almost dropped his package, and soon neighbors joined from their balconies, forming an impromptu street band. When it was over, everyone agreed that maybe Alexey’s barbershop had found its new signature tune.
3. While Alexey was deep in focus, giving a precise cut to a regular’s hair, someone called out from outside: ‘Hey, barber! Your sign is crooked again!’ Without missing a single stroke, Alexey calmly replied, 'I'll get right on it as soon as I finish with Mr. Johnson here.' The regular nodded and smiled, while an impatient delivery driver muttered something about time management. As Alexey finished up, he casually walked over to his wonky sign, adjusted it with one hand, and went back inside without another word.
4. While Alexey was carefully shaping a customer's beard, someone called out from outside: 'Hey, barber! Can you fix my car too?' Alexey looked up with a smile and replied, ‘I can trim beards and hair, but cars are not my specialty.’ Just then, his neighbor walked in, saying, ‘Barber, could you help me plant these flowers?’
