And since he was always in a hurry, he’d often forget to leave before closing time. So there he was—sleeping soundly on the waiting room couch when staff arrived the next day.

Curious, he tiptoed closer and saw an old janitor mopping the floor with a smile on his face. ‘Just testing the acoustics,’ chuckled the man, waving him off. The next day, everyone joked that maybe UCI had hired a canine mascot who could teleport.

4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up outside the center and exclaimed, ‘Did I just see a ghost?’ He rubbed his eyes, but there it was again—a shadowy figure darting between parked cars. Curious, he got out of his truck and followed the ghostly figure into the parking lot. Turned out, it was just an old blanket blowing in the wind around a parked bicycle. A neighbor later confessed they had left their bike unlocked after a late-night visit to the center's cafeteria. Everyone had a good laugh—except maybe the delivery driver’s boss, who wondered why his employee was so late.
