About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a regular pushed his shopping cart down the aisle, he stopped abruptly. Something unusual had caught his ear—a faint, rhythmic beeping coming from behind the produce section. Curious, he followed the sound until it led him to an open crate of bananas. Inside lay a small green alien, blinking its big round eyes and still making that odd beep. The regular smiled, picked up some bananas, and went on his way, never mentioning the encounter. From then on, Ralph’s became known around town for its occasional deliveries from beyond.
2. One day, an elderly lady asked the cashier: ‘Do you ever wonder why Ralphs always seems so quiet on Wednesdays?’ The cashier smiled and shrugged. ‘Maybe they’re just taking a well-deserved break,’ she replied. The old lady nodded knowingly, then whispered to herself: ‘Or maybe Wednesday is when they all go get their weekly supply of coffee.’
3. In the dairy section one afternoon, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered to her mom, ‘Mommy, look! The milk bottles are dancing!’ The mother smiled and gently replied, ‘Honey, it’s just the reflection of the lights on the bottles.’ Suddenly, an elderly gentleman passing by chuckled and said, ‘Oh, I see them too every now and then—must be something in the lighting!’ And so, for years after, whenever someone spotted dancing milk bottles at Ralphs, everyone would laugh and say, ‘Ah, must be that old optical illusion again!’
4. One night, while loading groceries into his car, a delivery driver noticed something strange on the receipt: ‘Today is your lucky day! Take any item from any shelf for free.’ The next morning, every employee found similar notes in their lockers. That evening, Ralphs was buzzing with excitement as customers picked items off shelves without paying. By midnight, however, only empty spots remained where discounts had been. The next morning, everyone returned everything they took—except for one lonely banana that nobody could find.
