About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the early morning fog of a typical Heartland town, a delivery driver pulled up to Heartland Auto Sales. As he stepped out of his truck, he noticed an old sign in the window that hadn’t been there before—written in faded paint it read: ‘Today’s Special: A Car That Knows How to Talk.’ The delivery driver cracked a smile and thought, ‘Talking cars? More like talking tires!’ But as he approached the lot, he heard a deep, gravelly voice coming from one of the vehicles:
‘Hey, bud! Need a ride today?’
Laughing, he replied, ‘Guess I do! Just don’t tell my boss you talked me into it.’
2. At dusk, a little girl pointed excitedly out the window, ‘Daddy, look! The cars are dancing!’ Her father chuckled, glancing over to see ordinary cars swaying gently in their rows like they were keeping time with unheard music. Suddenly, an old delivery driver walked by and grumbled, ‘Guess those cars been listenin’ to too much country music.’ Everyone laughed as he adjusted his hat, completely missing the real reason behind the cars’ unusual behavior.
3. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to Heartland Auto Sales and noticed something strange—an eerie humming sound seemed to come from inside every car on the lot. As he approached each car, he could see faint lights flickering within—they looked like tiny Christmas tree bulbs dancing in the dark. Curious but cautious, our delivery driver decided to investigate one vehicle. Inside was an old man dozing off with headphones on, snoring gently while listening to his favorite country tunes. Turns out, it was just an elderly neighbor testing out cars for potential purchase, using his own personal stereo system.
4. At closing time, an employee locked up Heartland Auto Sales and switched off the lights. As he walked past the showroom windows, he noticed a strange message scrawled on the glass in marker pen: ‘All cars for sale now half price—ask inside.’ Curious, he opened the door and found that indeed, every sign and sticker in the showroom had been altered with the same message. Just then, a delivery driver arrived, scratching his head and muttering, 'I thought I put the full-price stickers...'
