1. One morning, while a regular was printing out documents at The UPS Store, he noticed an odd humming sound coming from one of the mailboxes. Curious, he approached it and found that every time someone dropped off a package, the box would emit a high-pitched tune unique to each sender's address. Suddenly, the entire store filled with music as everyone started dropping off packages simultaneously. Confused but amused, the staff decided to use this newfound feature for good—playing different tunes whenever they delivered packages on special occasions. Soon enough, neighbors began stopping by just to hear their customized melody when picking up their mail.
2. One day, as a regular was dropping off packages at The UPS Store, she overheard an argument between two delivery drivers. ‘Did you see that guy in red?’ one asked. ‘No,’ replied the other, pointing towards a neighboring building. ‘He keeps stealing our packages!’ Suddenly, they both turned around and saw a small child in a red jacket running towards them with a package clutched tightly in his hands. 'Oh no!' said one driver, laughing, 'that’s just little Johnny next door— he always thinks everything is a game.'
3. While a regular was trying to print an important document at The UPS Store, the printer suddenly started playing ‘Happy Birthday’ every time it finished a page. Embarrassed and confused, our regular asked the staff what could cause such behavior. Turns out, someone had accidentally programmed the printer to celebrate every birthday in the neighborhood—including those of all the delivery drivers and even the store’s cat!
