About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to GW Service and noticed an ominous sign on the door: ‘Closed for Mystical Reasons.’ Curious, he walked in only to hear over the intercom, ‘Your vehicle has been blessed by our resident mechanic saint—now it runs like new!’ The delivery driver smiled skeptically but shrugged, thinking it was worth a try. After all, his truck had been acting up lately. To his surprise, once the mysterious mechanic finished, not only did his engine purr like a kitten, but his dashboard lights started playing Christmas carols. When asked why, the mechanic simply replied, 'Because it's December.'
2. One morning, a little girl pointed excitedly out the window of her family’s car: ‘Daddy, look! The talking sign!’ Her father glanced over and saw that the large neon sign above GW Service had suddenly started winking and flashing strange messages in different colors. Soon, other drivers pulled over to read the colorful messages too. A regular stopped by later that day, asking if anyone noticed anything unusual. Smiling, the mechanic shrugged and said, 'Nah, just our new LED display—nothing special.' But everyone knew better, because even today, whenever someone needs their car fixed, they still stop by GW Service for a peek at the ever-changing signs.
3. One day, a delivery driver pulled into GW Service for routine maintenance. As he walked past the service bay, something caught his eye—a strange contraption on the workbench, covered in dust and old parts. Curious, he lifted the cover. Inside was an ancient-looking tire gauge, but next to it lay a tiny note: 'For your tires—GW'. The driver shook his head, smiled, and went back to his truck. Later that evening, as he drove through town, someone waved from behind a bush, yelling, ‘Hey, thanks for fixing my tire!’
4. At dawn, when most mechanics were still stretching in their pajamas, an old VW Beetle pulled into GW Service with its headlights on full beam. The mechanic shrugged it off until the same thing happened every morning for weeks. Finally, the mechanic decided to stay up late and catch the culprit red-handed. Turns out, a neighborhood cat had taken a liking to the workshop’s warm lights and was using them as his personal alarm clock. Everyone got a good laugh, including the now well-rested mechanic.
