4. A neighborhood kid stopped by after school, pretending to be lost and asking for directions. But every time he pointed, the pharmacist swore the kid’s finger moved ever so slightly toward the exit sign. Finally, an elderly lady came in with her shopping cart. She asked the pharmacist where the aspirin was, and just as she spoke, the kid’s hand jerked towards the door again—this time, right into her path. With a gentle smile, she said, ‘Honey, I think you’re supposed to be helping people here.’ And everyone burst out laughing.
