About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an old man named Mr. Johnson walked into Mike’s Tire and Service Center. ‘Hey, Mike,’ he said, ‘you ever notice how your tires seem to go flat just as I’m leaving?’ Mike scratched his head and grinned. 'Mr. Johnson,' he replied, 'maybe it's time for a new set of tires!' The old man laughed heartily and nodded towards another customer waiting impatiently behind him. 'Or maybe they just don’t like being driven by such a slowpoke.'
2. One afternoon, while Mike was checking tires in his garage, he heard a strange humming sound coming from under the hood of one car. Curious, he peered inside and saw something wriggling around—a small, furry creature that looked like it had just taken a wrong turn into the engine. Mike reached for his flashlight and carefully shined it down there. The little critter seemed unfazed, still scurrying about its business. Finally, with a gentle nudge, Mike managed to coax it out through an open valve cover. Turned out to be nothing more than a curious squirrel on a detour. A few minutes later, a delivery driver pulled up, asking if anyone had seen his missing lunchbox.
3. One day, as Mike was adjusting brakes on a vintage car, a delivery driver exclaimed, 'Man, I’ve never seen anyone work so fast—you must be from another planet!' With a twinkle in his eye, Mike replied, ‘Son, I wasn’t born yesterday. This old gal’s been around since before you were born!’ The delivery driver scratched his head, shook hands with Mike, and drove off whistling. From then on, whenever someone asked how he fixed cars so quickly, Mike would simply say, ‘Practice makes perfect—and patience helps too.’
4. One night, a delivery driver pulled up to Mike's Tire and Service Center with a mysterious package marked ‘Top Secret’. As he approached the door, a neon sign above flickered ominously: 'Service Open'. The mechanic took one look at the package and said, 'Hey, neighbor, looks like your usual stuff.' He opened it, found some old tires, and shrugged. 'Guess they delivered wrong again,' he muttered, tossing them into the corner. Later that evening, as the delivery driver was leaving, he heard someone yell from inside: 'Hey, you forgot your top secret package!' The driver turned around just in time to see the mechanic wave him off with a smile: 'Nah, keep it—we don’t need any more secrets here.'
