About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular was counting his bills in the car outside First Citizens Bank when he noticed something odd: every time he counted ten dollars, exactly ten birds would fly into view from behind the building. Finally curious, our regular followed the birds inside and found himself standing next to a delivery driver who was whispering, ‘Ten bucks says they’ll bring another crate of those pesky finches!’
2. A little girl walked into her grandfather’s arms one day and whispered, ‘Grandpa, why does that old man keep talking to himself inside the bank?’ Grandpa smiled and replied, ‘My dear, he’s not talking to himself—he’s just saying hello to all his friends behind the glass.’ The little girl thought for a moment then said, ‘Oh Grandpa, so that’s how you say hi to your neighbors too!’
3. A delivery driver pulled up to the First Citizens Bank early one morning, muttering under his breath: 'This is the third time today I've forgotten my own truck!' He opened the back of his van and started rummaging through boxes, muttering even louder now. Just then, a regular customer walked in, glanced outside, and said with a smile: ‘You must be new here—this isn’t our bank.’ The delivery driver looked sheepishly around and finally noticed the sign above the door reading ‘First National Bank’.
4. One foggy morning, a delivery driver pulled up to the First Citizens Bank muttering something under his breath. As he unlocked the door, everyone inside swore they heard a soft tinkling sound, like tiny bells chiming from deep within. As he opened the vault, everyone noticed that the lights were flickering oddly—just enough to make everyone think they saw a small, mischievous shadow darting around. Turns out it was just an old security robot on patrol, programmed to look like a ghost for deterrence. The delivery driver laughed and said, ‘Guess I’ll be seeing you again soon, First Citizens!’
