A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside Chicago Title with an unusual package. As he approached the door, he noticed something odd—an old, dusty violin case sitting on the steps. He opened it curiously and found only a note inside: ‘To whoever finds this, please take good care of my baby.’ Turned out it was just a violin case filled with old concert programs. The delivery guy ended up playing a few tunes for his neighbors that evening, earning himself a reputation as the neighborhood musician.
2. A little girl walked into her grandfather’s office one afternoon and asked curiously, ‘Grandpa, why is there always smoke coming from that old building next door?’ The old man smiled and explained, 'That's just our friendly ghost, honey.' She tilted her head, puzzled. 'Oh really?' he continued, 'He likes to scare away bad guys trying to cheat people out of their homes.' The little girl nodded thoughtfully and whispered, 'I’ll tell my friends not to be scared then!' And ever since, whenever anyone asked about the smoke, they’d say, 'Don’t worry, it’s just Chicago Title's ghost keeping things honest.'
3. A regular customer entered Chicago Title one day and exclaimed, 'I just found out our building is haunted!' The receptionist smiled and replied, 'Really? Which ghost are you?' Another customer—a delivery driver—walked in, looked around nervously and asked, ‘Is it true that the ghost likes pizza?’ The receptionist winked and said, ‘Only if it’s delivered on time!’
4. One day, a delivery driver arrived at Chicago Title with a mysterious box marked only with an old-fashioned compass. As he placed it on the counter, everyone in the office noticed that its shadow seemed to point directly toward the door. As soon as the box was opened, out popped a friendly pigeon who greeted everyone with a coo and promptly flew out through the open door. The whole office burst into laughter, realizing it had been pranked by their neighbor. "Just another day at Chicago Title," someone muttered, shaking their head with a smile.
