The regular laughed good-naturedly, shaking his head. ‘Thanks, Jenkins. Guess I’ll just keep my truck’s nightlight.’

3. At dusk, when the garage doors of Fast Track started closing, a strange humming noise would occasionally echo through the empty lot. Noises like these usually went unnoticed, but one night a mechanic’s dog began barking furiously, drawing everyone’s attention. As everyone gathered outside, curious about the commotion, they saw an old cat lazily walking out from under the hood of a parked car. The humming stopped abruptly, and the mechanic’s dog calmed down instantly. Turned out, it was just the cat playing hide-and-seek with the mechanics—a regular visitor who loved hanging around the shop after hours.

At lunchtime, when the garage was emptying out, a mechanic’s wife asked curiously, ‘Honey, why does our van always start purring like a contented cat whenever you drive past Fast Track?’ The mechanic smiled sheepishly and shrugged, 'Oh, that?
