1. At QuikTrip in small-town America, a regular noticed something odd one morning. The automated announcement over the speakers suddenly switched from the usual farewell to an urgent plea for help: 'If you see a unicorn outside, do not approach it!' Soon, people started gathering around the gas station, cameras clicking and phones recording. A delivery driver even brought out his horn toot-toot at the unicorn, thinking it was part of some elaborate prank. Finally, after much laughter and confusion, the manager announced that the audio clip had been accidentally uploaded during maintenance. Everyone laughed, shook hands with the unicorn, and went on their way—except for the regular who insisted on buying everyone coffee as thanks for the morning’s entertainment.
2. At QuikTrip late one night, a delivery driver swears he heard someone whispering from inside the vending machine. Curious, the driver opened it up and found only an old newspaper clipping of a local band nobody had ever heard of. As he closed the door, a voice whispered, ‘Next time, check the soda machine!’ Turned out, it was just his neighbor playing a prank while getting a Mountain Dew.
3. At QuikTrip on a foggy afternoon, an employee adjusted the pumps while humming along to the radio. Suddenly, out of the mist emerged a tiny figure, waving frantically for help. The employee stopped what he was doing and waved back, thinking it was just a kid playing around. But as he approached closer, the little figure turned out to be a stray cat with a piece of string in its mouth. The whole station burst into laughter when they saw the feline trying to pull the string through the pump nozzle.
4. At QuikTrip one stormy evening, a neighbor paid for their gas with an old wet twenty-dollar bill. The cashier tried drying it under the heat lamp, but as soon as they touched it, the bill started singing 'It's Raining Men'. Embarrassed and laughing, everyone in line joined in on the song. Even the usually gruff manager smiled and shook his head. From that day on, whenever it rained heavily, customers at QuikTrip would sing along to ‘It’s Raining Men’ while filling up their tanks.
