About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, an Arizona Equine vet tech was closing up shop when she heard a strange noise coming from the storage room. Curious but cautious, she approached the door—only to discover a delivery driver dozing off with the keys in his truck. Peeking around the corner, she waved him awake gently. The poor guy jumped so high that he almost knocked over the entire horse tranquilizer cabinet! Turns out he’d been working late too and just wanted some rest. They shared a laugh, and she walked him safely back to his truck. Now, whenever someone mentions falling asleep on the job, everyone at Arizona Equine jokes about our sleepy delivery hero.
2. One morning, as a delivery driver approached the clinic, he heard a voice over the intercom: ‘Attention please! Last chance for your horse’s annual check-up before winter!’ Curious, the driver walked inside and found an old man in a cowboy hat checking charts on the wall. ‘You missed the deadline last year,’ chuckled the vet. The driver looked around blankly until a neighing sound came from behind him. He turned to see a sleepy horse staring back with big brown eyes. Relieved, the driver said, 'Oh, so that's why I keep getting those messages!'
3. Late one night, an Arizona Equine vet tech was locking up when she heard someone whispering from inside the empty waiting room. Curious, she peered in and saw only shadows on the wall—until her flashlight beam fell upon a sign that read ‘Last Call for Hay Today.’ Suddenly, another voice called out from behind the counter: 'Hey, don’t forget to close the window!' The tech turned around—and found herself facing…an empty room. Shaking her head, she locked everything tight and went home, muttering about spooky equine hospitals. Next morning, she discovered a note stuck under the door: “Thanks for keeping us open late!” signed simply, ‘A Regular.’
4. Early in the morning, a delivery driver pulled up to the clinic and noticed something unusual—a faint whinny seemed to be coming from inside. Curious, he peered through the window and saw nothing but empty rooms. Suddenly, an old horse blanket hanging on the wall shifted slightly, as if someone—or something—was trying to communicate. The delivery driver shook his head, smiled, and went inside for his delivery. Later that day, a neighbor stopped by and asked why there was a confused-looking horse outside the vet’s office. ‘He must’ve escaped from the wild west,’ shrugged the delivery man.
