2. Late one night, as a delivery driver unloaded groceries in the Kroger parking lot, he heard an odd humming sound coming from the nearby gas pumps. Curious, he followed it and found nothing but empty nozzles—until he looked up and saw a neon sign above flickering ominously. Suddenly, a voice boomed out of nowhere: ‘Fill ’er up, sir?’ Startled, our hero realized it was just an old gas station attendant, long retired, who’d taken up residence inside the pump. 3. At midnight, while a delivery driver was restocking shelves in the deserted Kroger store, he heard an odd announcement over the intercom: ‘Attention shoppers—we’re out of ghost peppers, but our supply of friendly ghosts is endless!’ Curious, the driver followed the voice and found himself in the produce section, where rows of translucent figures waved cheerfully at him. One little ghost even offered him a glowing pepper as a joke. After a moment’s hesitation, the driver took it—and suddenly his lips were on fire! Turning around, he saw that the ghosts had formed a line, each holding up a sign saying, ‘Next!’

4. At closing time, when the last cashier had locked up, an employee wondered aloud if the Kroger's security camera could see ghostly figures moving between aisles. Suddenly, a shadowy figure in an old apron appeared near the produce section. ‘Apples are five for a dollar!’ it called out. Everyone laughed, realizing it was just the store’s friendly ghost, reminding everyone of its low prices. The next morning, a delivery driver found an old shopping cart outside with a note: “Thanks for keeping our prices so low!”
