About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dusk, a regular parked his car near Fiesta Mart’s pumps and noticed something odd. His dog, usually indifferent to street noises, began barking furiously at an empty lot across the road. Curious, he got out of his car and followed the dog’s gaze. Across the lot, a shadowy figure in a hoodie was loading mysterious packages into a van. The regular waved discreetly, but the stranger pretended not to notice. Back home, over a cold beer, he told his wife: ‘Honey, I’m pretty sure that guy from Fiesta Mart just delivered some fiestas!’
2. At dawn, when Fiesta Mart's parking lot was empty but for a lone delivery truck, its headlights cast eerie shadows on the gas pumps. The driver, finishing his shift, stretched and yawned, then noticed an old man standing by one of the pumps, whispering into his hat. The delivery driver blinked twice, thinking he might be seeing things in the early morning light. The old man turned slowly, revealing nothing but an empty hat and a faint smile. As the sun rose higher, Fiesta Mart’s regulars arrived, chatting amiably over their coffee and donuts—none had seen or heard anything unusual.
3. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to Fiesta Mart’s pumps and turned off the engine. Suddenly, from inside the gas station, came a soft tinkling sound—like tiny bells or wind chimes. The driver shrugged it off as an oddity until he saw the neon sign above flickering in time with the noise. Curious, the driver approached the door, but it opened on its own, revealing a small, dusty room filled with old jars and boxes. Inside sat an ancient man wearing a fedora, humming softly to himself. ‘Welcome,’ said the stranger, ‘to my little collection.’ Turning to the pump, he added, “And don’t worry, I only come out once an hour for a stretch.” The delivery driver laughed and left, never mentioning his strange encounter to anyone—not even his neighbor who always parked next to Fiesta Mart.
4. At sunset, a neighborhood dog began howling every night outside Fiesta Mart’s pumps. No one could figure out why until one curious resident followed the sound to discover an invisible orchestra rehearsing in the nearby park. Finally, someone asked the park musicians for an audition. Turned out they were just practicing their yodeling skills for a local talent show. Ever since then, the dog howls along with them, thinking it’s part of the band—much to everyone else’s amusement.
