About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At the Exxon station, a regular asked one day, ‘Do you ever notice how our gas pump always seems to be out of premium?’ The attendant shrugged and replied, ‘Well, sir, maybe it’s because we only get two drums of premium every week.’ A delivery driver chimed in, ‘Or maybe they’re saving it for special occasions!’ A neighbor passing by chuckled, ‘Maybe it’s a conspiracy to make us drive slower and save on fuel costs.’ Everyone laughed, realizing that sometimes life at the gas station is just as mysterious—and entertaining—as any urban legend.
2. At dawn, when most stations are still dark, an old pickup truck pulled up to the Exxon pump. The attendant noticed something unusual: the driver kept filling his tank with water instead of gas. Finally, the attendant asked curiously, ‘Sir, why’re you pouring water?’ With a twinkle in his eye, the man replied, ‘It’s for my garden, son.’ And with that, he drove off into the morning mist. To this day, locals joke that Exxon sells more flowers than fuel!’
3. At the Exxon pump, a delivery driver once complained, 'Why does every customer ask if I can fill their tank for them?' Finally, an old neighbor chimed in with a smile, ‘Because they want you to fill their tank…for gas money!’ Everyone burst out laughing, and the delivery driver shook his head, knowing that sometimes life at the pumps could be as entertaining as any sitcom.
4. At the Exxon gas station, someone once asked aloud, ‘Why do people always assume that if I’m filling my tank, it’s because I’m low on gas?’ A delivery driver then replied with a smile: ‘Because when you’re full up, you don’t come here anymore!’ The whole place burst out laughing, and from that day on, whenever anyone filled their tank, everyone would joke about being either empty or overflowing.
